The Illusion of the Obvious Leader
I joined History Bowl as a freshman because I liked history. That was about the full extent of the logic at the time. I liked reading about wars, revolutions, presidents, and empires, and somewhere in my head that translated into "I should probably be good at this too." It felt like a straight line at the time.
